When you cross through the custom palm tree iron double doors, you are greeted by the amazing lake views of "Water Water Everywhere," and you instantly shift to vacation mode. Newly renovated, this nearly 6000 square foot home is a waterfront paradise, complete with a pool, spa, a coveted enclosed boathouse, and walls of windows inviting panoramic Lake Norman views inside.
The foyer opens to an open-concept living room, waterfront dining room, and kitchen surrounded by large picture windows and wide water views. The huge living room features a large three-seat sofa, a loveseat, and two swivel glider chairs alongside a natural stone fireplace wall (fireplace not available to guests) and television to catch the morning news or evening game.
The new dining table with seating for eight takes in gorgeous water views from floor-to-ceiling windows. Sliders on each end allow easy access to the grilling deck at dinner time and to the oversized covered patio, arguably the best seat in the house and the perfect spot for a nightcap or a midday nap.
Back inside, the kitchen offers seating for three at the barside and two at the custom built-in breakfast table. The second of the two islands features a four-burner gas stove with a griddle. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to feed your group of up to 14. We recommend starting your day with a warm cup of joe from the K-cup and drip coffee maker.
You can catch up on your emails (but only if absolutely necessary!) on the living room desk, but we encourage you to take that coffee out on the porch for a peaceful start to your vacation morning. Be sure to look for the native blue herons who often perch on the dock.
Down the main level hallway are four bedrooms. The primary suite features a king bed, walk-in closet, sliders to the covered patio, and a unique newly renovated spa bath. Unwind after a long day on the lake by enjoying the views and a glass of wine in the freestanding soaking tub (custom wine-glass tray included, cabernet not). The oversized walk-in shower has multiple shower heads and a tropical tile feature wall. Once you step out of the shower, a shiplap wall offers a convenient place to hang your towels and slip on your swimsuit or pajamas. Dual sinks on an oversized vanity give plenty of space to make yourself at home. A private water closet completes this private space.
A second primary bedroom provides another king-bedroom suite with a tile walk-in shower, single vanity, and water views. Two more bedrooms round out the main level, each featuring queen beds and sharing a hall bathroom. The main level also offers a powder room bath and a remodeled laundry room. All furniture, linens, and kitchen supplies are new as of May 2023.
Head downstairs for all the fun! The remodeled basement features a wide-open game room with a huge, comfortable sofa with a large television. Challenge family and friends to a game of billiards or ping pong. A selection of board games will provide more laughs to those sun-kissed cheeks.
Just off the game room, a bunk room with three sets of twin bunk beds provides the perfect sleeping arrangements for kids and teens in the group. Do movie buffs or sports fans need their fix? The newly added theater room has theater sofa seating for six, bean bags for the kids, and an 85-inch television.
Out the back doors is where Water, Water Everywhere earns its name and where you'll be soaking up all your Lake Norman vacation dreams. The inground saltwater pool has a tanning ledge (perfect for the little ones) and a built-in spa. When you need a reprieve from the Carolina blue skies, chill out under cover (and ceiling fans) in one of the six comfortable chairs or at the six-seat dining table. And you guessed it- there's another TV outside (for a total of nine on the property).
The dock is the perfect spot to moor your rented boat or to take a dip in the lake, easily accessible by the swim ladder. The boat house offers a shaded spot, more comfortable seating, and a mini fridge.
Water, Water Everywhere is known to have "pet fish" off the dock - be sure to feed them or give your fishing skills a whirl. And don't miss the painted skies as the sun sets on your perfect lake day - the views from the dock are spectacular. Back on solid ground, recap the day's adventures fireside at the new firepit with Adirondack seating for six.
